This week, this month has been so busy. I find myself worrying a lot and stressing out about everything I need to do and want to do. This isn't what the Christmas season is about.
As encouragement to myself and something to look happily onward this week, here are some Christmas feeling pictures.
"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." Psalm 98:4

I am so thankful for my family, friends, home, and Mr. Broome. I am thankful the Lord lets me enjoy it all day in and out.

Who are you calling fake?

From one year to the next.

Of all the many things I could blog about, this comparison is all that I can muster up today. The truth is, I am "naturally" somewhere in between these two pictures.
Maybe I'll go all natural when I have my first kid. Don't they say you can't get your hair done when your pregnant?
Oh dear. The superficial things I think about.
Please forgive me readers.

It's winter and almost Christmas. The cold weather and my lack of enthusiasm to run in 28 degree mornings lead me to google "arctic running." I ran across this article today and fell in love with the idea of running a marathon in arctic Greenland. Really? No not really, really, but I seriously wouldn't mind making this a goal one day. I am sure the plane ticket alone would be enough to make my knees drop.

Mr. Broome met morning before me today. He shot out of bed at 5:00am so that he could get home from work on time to go get a Christmas tree. We're a little late. I was getting up right behind him to run. I could barely sleep last night and I think it was my mind telling me to be scared of the cold morning run. That and my heat in the Rover is broken.. no good, no good. So I got dressed quickly, threw a heating pad in the microwave for a good four minutes and Mr. Broome suggested I throw a blanket in the dryer to sit on top of me in the car. Smart guy, that Mr. Broome. I detest being cold. I would rather be sweating for 24 hours straight than be cold for five minutes.
As I headed out the door to meet my running group, Mr. Broome ran out to the car and threw the warm blanket on top of me. It was just right.
Running in 38 degrees was not just right. It was so dang cold. Of course I still loved it. I love running and feeling a little loopy as I get out of bed most mornings wondering "why am I doing this again?"

Mr. Broome hung all of our lights. They make me feel warm in side, for real.

Owow Mr. Broome! You hang those lights:)

I've been so busy lately. I find myself enjoying the evenings with Mr. Broome in our cozy home too enjoyable to put my foot forward into much productivity. We did get the Christmas lights up. They are gorgeous. We we're going to get dinner Sunday night when Mr. Broome said "Turn around and see if you can see our lights from this far!" Sure enough you could.
Though I am no professional, not even close to even being "good" at taking pictures- My sweet friend Lydia asked me to take some last minute pictures of her family on Sunday. Of course I obliged because it did not require me dolling up, just them.
\
I think this is my favorite. Ryan and Lydia make one good looking couple. Seriously.

In more Broome news, Mr. Broome sold his truck. We we're sad to see it go. It was the first truck I rode in with him. It took us on our first date to see a singing moose, our second date to the Cheesecake Factory, and our third date, the Sun Dial.(Where I knew, I declared in my soul- "This dear self, This is the man I will marry!")
Mr. Broome has been jonesing for a Bronco really bad. He has dreamt about it, spilt his pop corn when he saw one in a movie, and nearly wrecked when seeing one on the side of the road. He searched all over for THE one, and he has found it. It's sitting pretty in our car port right now. It's old but will be fixed up soon. It's one of those antique cars.(I think.)
I will post those pictures soon along with Christmas light pictures.
And to end this post, a list of my favorite Christmas time things:
Peanut m&m's, choirs, oyster crackers, cold winter walks to see Christmas lights, endless snuggling, a fire in the fireplace every night, helping Mr. Broome put wood on his wood tote, my family happy, giving gifts, a dimly lit house with just the Christmas tree glowing...
