Life from my blackberry.
Mr. Broome, I warn you now... Pedigo might make fun of you once he reads this.

Betsy doing her normal thing.

Mr. Broome shaved his untamed beard! He has a baby face! Look at that sweeeeet face!

Bananas, strawberries, peaches, milk, and vanilla yogurt.

Oops. Kbroome snuggling a delicious smoothie.

Ah hahaha- Mr. Broome oops, umm, this just got on here somehow... Betsy carries EVERYTHING into the yard...

This pup is always wanting something.

My roses- I do so much to tend to them you know?....

Oh the life of Betsy.
This post is about as random as my life has been lately. I'm going to post about the first week of marathon training tomorrow, but don't hold your breath!

This is a marathon training plan.
I got it from Hal Higdon and adjusted the days to fit my own schedule.
You know.. if I have a plan.. maybe I'll follow it. I might just even update you readers on how its going.
Don't get too excited, I'm not the most consistent blogger anymore!

Married for Two Years

Last year we celebrated at the beach. This year, at home, in the yard.
What is a good anniversary without some good old fashioned advice?

As Mr. Broome and I were about to throw the frisbee around tonight, Mr. Burson pulled up on his golf cart. "You kids don't know what a hard days work is" and "You kids don't know what a real meal is. Mrs. Nancy(his wife) cooked some fresh Vidalia Onions in a pot with potatoes the other night, and that was the best durn meal."
We adore Mr. Burson. He is a spicy neighbor to have around. Always has an opinion about something which we have learned to appreciate.

He told us tonight- "You kids think you're still on the honeymoon. Just you wait, Oh, just you wait. Once you start having young-uns you'll play second fiddle. The honeymoon will be over!"
Oh Mr. Burson.

We had a great anniversary. It began at 2:30 when I woke Mr. Broome. I couldn't stay awake by myself any longer listening to the pounding rain and howling wind. I wiggled Mr. Broome's warm, snoozing body. "What?" He said. "Wake up please and watch the weather with me. I'm scared the magnolia tree's going to fall on the house."
He wasn't a happy camper, but he did end up staying up. Off and on we snoozed, until it was time for Mr. Broome to leave for work.

I took the day off to meet him at his office for lunch and to meet his co- workers. I had a great time and was encouraged to see the genuine people he works with. He really does have friends there, and I think that's a good thing considering work is a place you must go each day. Might as well have co- worker's you also get the pleasure of calling friends.

We had salmon, potatoes, and biscuits for dinner. It was yummy and we had a fun time cooking together.
That's all. Have a good week friends.

The Past Week

Glen Burns says to strap a helmet on kids during tornado weather. We're not kids.
I think I'll leave it at that. If you don't know about stormy weather in the Broome house, you don't know the Broomes.

This little mama decided to build a nest in the garden. So protective of her babies, she let me get close to get a good picture.

Pretty eggs, I hope we can keep Betsy out of the garden.

Oh hey, it's me.
Bringing you a short cup ad. Have you seen these? I'm sure I'm out of the loop with these. Bed Bath and Beyond has a cup made by Copco, one for hot drinks and one for cold. I bought a cold to- go cup. My MIL has the hot one. I adore these because they look like a fast food cup, but they're plastic.
Who gets excited for a cup?

The wind has been horrendous. It knocked half of a maple into the driveway. Mr.Broome looked mad about it, but I think he was more excited than anything.
He slung a rope around it and pulled it into the field behind the house.

Betsy was not a fan of the wind. She sat under the car port all day.

That's all. Real exciting around here. Tomorrow we've been married two full years. What a great two years it has been! I'll be heading to the big city tomorrow to have lunch with Mr. Broome and back home to get ready for a fun evening.
