Things that happen in Fall

Oh my, Mr. Broome and I slept with our bedroom window open last night. The sound of the wind blowing in put me right to sleep. It officially felt like Fall yesterday. I got home from work and after waiting for the rain to pass I headed out for a run. It felt so amazing outside, I didn't even notice that my pace was a whole minute faster than what I've been running all summer. I guess heat and humidity can really slow you down.

Jaime and Jess had an engagement celebration last weekend. Shrimp and Grits were on the menu along with some delicious wine from the host, Mr. Patricio, who held all the world's class in his pinky. Jaime and I toyed around in his library right before Mr. Broome swept me away to the car to end the evening.

Melinda and Matt wed just this last weekend. Melinda was a beautiful bride with an even more beautiful voice. She sang wooed to him right before dinner and I don't know if I've ever seen a man's face light up quite like his did. There wedding took the cake, with a delicious dinner, romantic tents underneath historic trees, and the best part.. a photo booth.

Photobucket
This was my view from Friday afternoon at 2:00pm until Saturday morning at 7:00am.
I bet you couldn't guess what I was doing.
Photobucket
Why playing find-a-word and chugging a red bull of course.
I accompanied Mr. Broome and Ben to Florida to pick up Mr. Broome's new boat. Mr. Broome flew to West Palm beach a few weeks ago to look at this boat and after much thought and prayer decided this boat was meant to be his(ours).
He's always wanted a deep sea fishing boat. His mama even says so.
I was a little fishy about the idea at first, but Mr. Broome lured me in.
Photobucket
He was really happy to say the least. Christmas came early Mr. Broome.
Photobucket
Ben was excited too, or maybe they were both just hyped up on coke and red bull.
Photobucket
Here she is.
Photobucket
We love her already.

outtakes

Mrs. Broome and Mr. Broome.
Photobucket
Oh dear.
Photobucket
Sure makes me look like a brat.
Sometimes I am.
I love that you laugh at and with me Mr. Broome. Even when I'm acting like a snot.
Photobucket
Sometimes, what I LOVE most about you is your laugh. Even when it's low and nerdy like a teenage boy when you're talking on the phone with your friends.

Dear Mr. Broome,
Remember the first time you took me camping? I had never been before, not real camping that is. I bet you thought my pansy self was going to hate it. You were wrong weren't you? I loved it, every bit of it, and I have been ready each year to plan the next trip. Now it is our fourth year, FOURTH YEAR, to plan another trip, and we haven't even talked about plans to go. I can't imagine a fall without a camping trip. Ya hear me? Can't imagine.
After you read this you should definitely
-pick up your phone
-dial your manly, diesel driving friends
-tell them you're putting your foot down(you don't have to say it was mine)and you're ready to plan a durn camping trip
-throw caution to the wind and your need for a quiet weekend at home in between all of these weddings
-saddle up your nasty, last years Danner boots
-and get me on the road to Blueridge.
Love,
PEA
And. Some Inspiration.

Long Post

Summer has been so hot, can we get on with fall please? I know it's creeping in slowly, but it's too slow. At 5:00 it's still 91 degrees and I'm over it. Done.

Mr. Broome had his first migraine this past weekend at the beach. It scared him (and me) bad. He woke from a nap as I was nudging him to shower before dinner and he stood up complaining of a bad headache. I told him to get in the shower and dressed and he would start to feel better. (Sounds like something my grandma would say)
I was wrong. Within the hour he had gotten really bad chills and vomited(ew yes vomit) and was soon telling me to help him get warm and to turn off the lights. His face was so red and he couldn't focus on any question I asked him. I've never seen him so sick before and I had no idea, not the slightest clue what was wrong. We went to the beach with our friends Ben and Leah and I was so thankful when I remembered that Leah was in nursing school. She helped us determine what he needed. They went to the drug store to get Tylenol and Gatorade while I snugged up to Mr. Broome. We weren't sure if it was a migraine, sun poisoning, or food poisoning. The next day when Mr. Broome was ready to go fishing at 6:00 am, we figured it had been a bad migraine.
Bless his heart. I was so relieved that it wasn't something worse.

Mr. Broome is reenacting the night before when he thought his head was going to explode.

Wow, I still love Mr. Broome, even after a whole summer of not blogging about it.

We had a great time with Ben and Leah and were so happy that they enjoy long days on the beach like we do.

In other news.

Enough said.
I had dinner with this friend for her birthday a few weeks ago. I love you Caroline! Me and Mr. Broome had the best time with you and Mac. I am so thankful you are only a half- hour away as opposed to a plane ride.

Oh yes, something else wonderful.

Jaime and I tried Sip and Strokes for the first time ever and loved it. Don't our pictures look amazing??

If you know Jaime, you know to love this picture. What a little scrub creating mischief at a classy art class. Come on James, am I going to have to put a leash on you next time?

That's all friends, how was THAT for a post?
