At our house, everyone gets a turn at the blowdryer.

Betsy especially loves it. Last night as I was brushing my teeth Mr. Broome came in and started blowing me with the blow dryer to get me warm. Oh you don't do this too?? Betsy got out of her bed to come join in.

This has been a lazy week, as I think it's supposed to be. Mr. Broome has been working on his room still and Betsy continues to drag wood into the yard.
He's so handy and handsome. But you all know how I feel about Mr. Broome.

The room is coming along nice and it's pretty toasty in there too. Now, the outside of his building could use a little work...
I've been reading and preparing to decorate for Christmas.
Doing some laundry..
And sitting by the fire... It's just too cozy inside.

The last week..
I painted our hall. I've been wanting to do it for a while, but new it would be time consuming.  I saw where a blogger had tapped off a lattice pattern on her wall. She had actually left the tape on the wall and that was her design, but I wanted to use two different paint colors.

The finished product! Don't look too close at the pattern, its not necessarily symmetrical. I don't think you can tell unless you look really hard at it.

Mr. Broome has been working on his own project. We have a barn like building that houses all of Mr. Broome's tools and other manly stuff. When Mr. Broome bought his boat he ended up needing a separate place to keep all of his fishing stuff. He decided to build a room inside the barn to house it all. He's calling it the man room and says I'm not allowed. We'll see about that Mr. Broome.
It's still in the works, and kind of hard to get a good picture of.
The first Mr. Broome has been helping too.

This post goes out to my most faithful reader, Mr. Broome.
Mr. Broome forgot to set our bedroom clock back yesterday and didn't realize it until this morning when he woke up at 3:30(instead of 4:30). He showered, dressed, and came to get his phone and say goodbye when he realized the time on his phone was different from our clock. He woke me up saying "Pea, I got up an hour early. It's 4:15." I sleepily asked him what he was going to do with his extra hour or so. I offered a cozy snoogle, but he passed.
Mr. Broome was the early bird that got the worm this morning.
Thanksgiving is coming up and I am really wanting a caramel cake for the occasion. My Grandma Ruth can make a caramel cake like no one's business, but I need to learn myself. Actually my Mother in Law can make a yummy caramel cake too, but she vowed to never do it again because the icing took too long.

Back to Mr. Broome. I love him so much I can't stand it. I miss him at work sometimes and I think that's really important after TWO years of marriage to miss your mate while he's at work.
Speaking of mate.
Mr. Broome is a captain.
A cute captain and boy can he steer that boat.
Do you know whos blog I still adore and who can really get you pumped for the holidays?
