It's week three of marathon training. It's so hot. I've been running in the mornings in an attempt to beat the heat. Lets just say, it's still hot and maybe more humid. I run slower in the mornings and combined with the heat I feel like I'm never going to make it home. I'm tyring to keep my goal in mind, but also to remember the training is part of the journey. It really does feel good to finish a race. I can't imagine what it will feel like to complete 26.2 miles.

This morning as I crested the top of a hill Mr. Broome pulled up beside me on his way to work. He gave me a stern look and asked "Where's your reflective vest??" I told him that it was daylight and people would be able to see me with out the stupid vest on. He continued, "It's foggy, you need to be wearing your vest." I was so out of breath(note he met me on a hill) and annoyed that he was stopping me for a scolding. I don't know when he became a safety monitor, wait yes I do. It's kind of in his job. Sorry for the attitude Mr. Broome, I was just in the middle of dying of heat exhaustion for a second there. All better now.

On another note, my Garmin305 GPS broke. Such an opportune time. I'm hoping I can get that fixed asap. It isn't any fun to measure your miles in a car before you run them!
OK, enough whining. Hope you all are having a great week!

July 4th Weekend

This last trip was a quick one. We went for the 4th of July weekend. One day of fishing, one day of beach. For the first time on the boat I began the trip queasy and never recovered. I never actually got sick, but the whole time I felt on the verge of it. So while I wasn't all into the fishing action, I did enjoy the scenery. We were on the boat headed out of the bay at 4:30. Early to rise, early to capture the sun coming up. It was beautiful, truly a treat to see the sun come up on the water. Heading in for the day, a family of dolphin swam with us- so neat, they literally swam for a good twenty minutes with the boat.

A mama and baby:) I can't believe my rinky dinky digital camera took decent pictures of the dolphin so well.
I pulled myself together for a photo op.
Mr. Broome turns 30 on Sunday. 30! Wow. I met you when you were 25.
I love you so much, so proud of you in all that you do.
